From a blogging perspective, I found WP pretty easy to use. I did not not take any tutorials. I was able to translate what I knew here to wordpress.

The tricky part is getting the whole thing set up right, and for that I would hire a website designer who knows wordpress very well.

Also, once it's set up, use the Yoast plug in to help make it easier to get better SEO. It helps "score" your posts and gives you advice on how to optimize.
