Get to know Mark A. Moore

I am a full service REALTOR with over twenty years experience.  I typically represent sellers, buyers, and owners of residential rental properties.  I have earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, and hold an Associate Broker's license.

I pride myself on giving absolute personal service throughout each transaction.  I strive toward a "quality over quantity" approach.

One specialty of mine is "hands-on" rental property management.  I have managed residential rentals since 1997, and I have personally been a landlord since 1999.  I handle all phases of the rental process for investment property owners.  From listing and showing the home, through the selection of quality tenants, to the proper care and maintenance of the home while it is a rental property.  I currently handle around 35 quality rental properties primarily in the northeastern portion of the city of Virginia Beach, and I am a member of NARPM.

My wife Dede and I have two sons, age 8 and 11.  I enjoy surfing, sailing, traveling, construction, and my 1971 Boston Whaler.  Thank you for visiting my page,

Certifications

I am familiar with the entire Hampton Roads market but my niche is in northeastern Virginia Beach, where I also reside.  Though not a true "native", may father's military career brought my family to the area in the late '70s (when I entered the fourth grade).  I went through the public school system beginning with Kingston Elementary School, and then on to graduate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk with an Economics degree.

My wife and I own rental property of our own and I closely follow the local residential investment property market.  We recently completed our own 1031 Tax Deferred (Starker) Exchange.  We sold a long held rental home and invested the proceeds into a new rental home purchase, deferring our capital gain.  Contact me for more details.
