Tim is the son and grandson of long time Healdsburg residents. In 1951 his grandfather founded the Preston Ranch Company on Eastside Road, just south of Healdsburg. In 1973 his father purchased a small parcel of land in the Dry Creek Valley that has grown to become popular farm and winery destination. Tim fondly remembers the summer days he spent running through the vineyards, exploring along Peña Creek and the upper Dry Creek Valley.

Tim received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania, before returning to Sonoma County to work in the wine business, first in the cellar at Murphey-Goode and Alexander Valley Vineyards, and later in sales. After years spent in working various businesses, Tim started his second career as an archaeologist and teacher. It was on an archaeological dig in Belize that he met his future wife and business partner, Sarah Preston. In 2013 they moved north from Petaluma to the Larkfield/Wikiup area in order to be closer to Tim’s family.

Currently, Tim and Sarah work for RE/Max Full Spectrum where they strive to create the best possible experience for their clients. Tim is focused on excellent service. It does not matter whether his clients are looking to sell the family home, purchase a vacation rental, or find the perfect vineyard, he will always be available to answer questions and guide the transaction to a positive conclusion.
