Originally from the midwest, I relocated here in the hill country after several years in San Antonio. I found myself a single mother of three daughters who really wanted to get back to basics and simplify my life.  

     There was a strong desire inside of me to raise my girls the way I remembered childhood to be...you know the one..where you jump on your bike and ride to a friends' house or set out your lemonade stand, or even just lie on a blanket in the backyard and stare at the stars.

      I've been in Mason now since the end of 1999 and it is absolutely like Mayberry. Life is good here. There is such a strong sense of community and family and values that I have so grown to appreciate..

      Occasionally, I get have to go and get my big city fix..hit some great restaurants in Austin or San Antonio, do the Lowe's or Home Depot thing, La Cantera, Office Depot...and of course..Starbucks!

       This is a quality of life that you cannot put a price on. There are no stop lights, we are within 100 miles of both those great cities...if I have to wait for more than 3 cars to pass by I'm like...What's with the traffic jam????

        We love to spend our time now kayaking on the Llano River, checking out the now famous Jeff Corwin experiment "James Eckert Bat Cave" one of the largest in the whole U.S. There's always great food and wine at Santo's Taqueria (I say always..that actually means Thursday through Sunday..lol..

         I play board games with my girls (well, my oldest just joined the Army...she's so private Benjamin..) and my middle daughter graduates in May...then there's my straggler and honor roll/over achiever and she's in 4th grade.

         Weekends are spent in the garden, laying around the pool, trying out Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals that usually take me an hour and a half and of course, Friday night football games.

           Mason is a great place to live.....I am proud to have just switched over from my independent firm of Llano River Real Estate to my new RE/MAX BELIEVE company and am so excited about this recent change. Most of the 17 years I've been in real estate, I was an agent for them and so it just seemed like a very natural progression to purchase a franchise. I am blown away by the technology and resources that they are providing and am very excited for this new chapter in my life!
