As your real estate consultant and expert on the local market, my primary duty is to help you understand the market and providing answers to the questions you have so you can make a confident decision using *all* the facts. As your Realtor, I am your trusted confidant, consultant, and first authority on home buying. From my experience, I know that you can only make a decision after you have all the information you require. With the information and knowledge that I provide, you will be able to make the best choice for yourself. I want you to have a solid understanding of the market you are looking in, and have a good expectation of the financial details so you can go forward with the decision of which home is best for you. Because there are a few things to learn before committing to owning a home, I usually suggest that people just look at a few homes to learn what is available on the market before they actually try to make a decision to own a property. To do this, we would see 5 or 6 homes in the price range you choose with features that are important to you. During our "educational tour" we will be able to talk about the aspects of owning a home that are important to you. There are usually a few things that people don't ask about because they're new to home buying, don't notice as they peruse a property, or don't know to ask. After answering all your questions, I may advise you on aspects about the properties we are visiting, such as being in the flight path of a nearby Air Force Base. Or I might point out the location of shopping malls, golf courses or theatres. I will also help point out features of a home that might not be so nice - like the mineral deposits on a water heater, or the relative age of the A/C Unit - so you can have an idea what maintenance might be like. A conservative estimate is that 85% of my job is to provide you with enough information to make the best decision you can for yourself. Once you have a solid understanding of the market you are looking in, and have a good expectation of how the financial details (will wind up), you can go forward with deciding which home is best for you. If you have any questions I can't answer, I'm happy to help you find the answers. I will be there for you through the entire process--through the close of escrow, and beyond!
