FM Agency Group Owner Tim D'Angelo makes it his goal to be a little different than the standard insurance guy.

When Katrina hit and thousands of claims had to be paid, many carriers and agents decided that Louisiana wasn't a good place to sell insurance.

He noticed that Louisiana was a place where a lot of good people really needed help with insurance and he wanted to be the guy to help.

Like many of you, Tim has a longstanding history in this area. He was born in Orleans Parish and raised in the greater New Orleans area. He earned his bachelor's degree from University of New Orleans and started his career as a claims adjuster for a major carrier.

As a claims adjuster, Tim earned his Associate in Claims designation. He also helped hundreds of claimants so he knows firsthand how disruptive it can be when your house, vehicle or business is damaged or destroyed.

Tim purchased his insurance agency in 2001 with the goal of helping Louisiana residents and business owners source affordable insurance and get back to NORMAL fast if and when a claim occurs. Unlike many insurance agency owners, Tim is available to personally meet with every client.

While insurance is something that most people hate to think about, it's a necessity. And, it can be hard to find affordable options in Louisiana. Fortunately, your local "insurance guy" understands the problems Louisiana residents face with increasing insurance premiums.  He also is well-networked with several carriers so he can explore multiple options on your behalf.
