Our Story
In the early stages developing the Home Inspection Business I needed a name. So like most people I looked at what other home inspection companies called themselves. Some cute some funny some professional and some didn't make sense at all. I started to think of who I was and how people viewed me in the home inspection industry. After a long thinking process and much dilemma I realized people, family and friends would refer to me as, "The Inspector". It's The Inspector, how's The Inspector today, here come's The Inspector, etc. To get some insight I went on MyFlorida website under business names for "The Inspector" and was overwhelmed with so many variations. I guess I was not the first to think of it. Trying to incorporate "The Inspector" in my business name was not going to be easy. I searched other Home Inspection names over and over, trying develop my own with my own unique identity. Then it dawned on me and the bulb went on. My initials AKA was an acronym for "Also Known As". Eureka, the Business was born, "AKA: THE INSPECTOR". Business cards were made up, I registered the name with the state of Florida, email address was available, web site address available, I was so excited when my Business cards came in I started to give them out to friends and family. Then I gave my card to my daughter, the nurse, which she reviewed so diligently and said, " That's a great name for your business, who thought of it?". I could have fainted, I couldn't believe my daughter would say such a thing. To my amazement my daughter was smiling from ear to ear. It was a joke and a good one that I will not forget. You can always count on your family to make sure your humble no matter how smart you think you are.
