Its the parent thing-someday I will let go. I told her last night what will she do if she becomes sick while in her new home. We were very pleased with the service we received from both of you to ensure that our loan went through and was ready for closing. We learned a great deal from both of you concerning the formalities of the loan process as well as a better understanding of how rates are determined. We are appreciative of the advice we received to do an extended lock although we ended up going with a different lender. This was one setback to the entire loan process that we will learn from. Fortunately, the interest rates dropped and we were able to lock with a different lender. We decided it would save us more money long term than keeping the rate we received from the extended lock. It was disappointing to learn that the extended lock lender would not refund any amount that was used to lock the rate or have competitive market rates because it was an extended lock loan. If we could change one thing about the process it would have been to find a way to reason with the extended lock lender to have more competitive market rates because this intuitively makes sense for both parties. They are able to keep the loan and make more money long term than to lose our loan to a different lender and keep the extended lock money. Otherwise, our interactions with both of you have been wonderful. You have both been patient when it comes to our requests for loan rates or questions regarding loan documents.
