Background Story
Born in California, Shari relocated to Washington in the early 80’s. Even as a young teen, she knew she had found the perfect place to live. Because she has such a caring side (an early dream was to be a teacher to the deaf), Shari took a job as a caretaker for the developmentally disabled. Shari married, and then her two children became the focus in her life. She decided to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool them. She even co-founded the Homeschool Resource Center to assist other home schooling parents. “I really enjoyed that period in my life,” Shari says. “I was lucky to have spent so much time with my kids during their formative years.”

Learning Out in the Field
It was about this time that Shari also got her real estate license as a way to have flexible hours so she could earn a living and still homeschool her kids.
