| Sold my Townhouse in 2017 for approximately $225K in Middleburg, VA. Shannon Gilmore has been the best realtor I have ever worked with. | Shannon Gilmore of Long & Foster represented me for the sale of my Middleburg, Virginia horse farm for $1,195,000 - which took just 2-1/2 months from listing to closing, despite the unique nature of the particular property. I have worked with ten realtors on property purchases and sales in four states over 22 years - and Shannon is certainly one of the best, and probably the single best of all these agents! First, she was very sensitive to the emotional dimension of my sale of this particular property, after my husband's accidental death the year before. Second, she was very practical and balanced about advising me on the timing of my listing, pricing, and the "need to do" vs. "nice to do" improvements prior to listing. Third, she provided me with numerous local contacts to help with all the "need to do" improvements and clean-up - from a contractor to do exterior work, to home cleaning services. Fourth, although Shannon is not licensed in Maryland where I decided to purchase my new horse farm, she provided invaluable assistance in this process through her Long & Foster colleagues who did represent me in this state. Most notably, when it became apparent that none of the major internet providers were equipped to service my property, Shannon found a local company that was able to quickly and inexpensively provide me with excellent broadband connectivity. | Shannon is a true expertise in the industry. She is very personable and knowledgeable. Shannon is extremely responsive to calls, texts, emails or however you communicate with her. She is very friendly and loves to get to know exactly what you are looking for so that she can help find the perfect fit for you. As I was a first time home buyer, Shannon stood by me every step of the process and took the time to explain everything that was going on and that I would need to do.
