Get to Know Shane M. Hall

Having spent years working in social services, following a brief stint in the television industry, I finally took the advice of my 94 year old Great Aunt and became a Realtor. She spent several decades as one of the most successful agents in my area. Having converted, I couldn't be happier. Selling homes and representing buyers in their quest suits me perfectly. I'm a bit over-the-top in that I spend all of my free time researching listings, websites, mortgage trends and watching "Flip This House" and "Flip That House" and all of the shows of the sort. In this tough market agents need to focus on their clients on a much more personal level than in previous years. I hear this constantly. I believe that regardless of market forces, an agent cannot do his or her job efficiently unless there is a level of trust and comfort worthy of one of THE most important transactions a person or family can make in a lifetime. I hold the Realtor's Code of Ethics close. I believe that integrity will continue to make me the successful agent I am today. Oh...and a bit of charm never hurts.

Certifications

I have a great deal of experience in the research, procurement, and negotiation to purchase waterfront (freshwater) homes. I spent much of my life on the water and understand profoundly the aesthetics a buyer is looking for when he, she or they decide that they want to find the perfect waterfront home. Accessibility, views, privacy, utility and so much more linger in my mind as I work to match a personality with a home...whether waterfront or otherwise. I grew up in the MetroWest area of Massachusetts. I'm 7th generation Natick and know the area quite well. However I spent my summers in a cottage in Northern Central Massachusetts on one of the regions great glacially formed, spring-fed ponds. Furthermore I have spent time living on Cape Cod and I went to college in Western Massachusetts at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst graduating with a degree in cultural anthropology (very similar to sociology...just with virtually no job opportunities upon graduation!) I swear I learned more about life working at a CHA CHA CHA (a Mexican restaurant in Northampton, now gone) than I did in my years of study at the University. At any rate, the point is that I know this state very well and this puts me in the unique position of working anywhere in the Commonwealth. My agency, Century 21 Commonwealth is one of the most powerful in the country with over 450 agents...so I can depend on them to help if I have a buyer coming from one end of the State to the center. I also have experience with the GLBTQ community personally and through past professions. Vision is key in showing a home, whether to buyer and seller. I believe I can show people the potential of a home if they're on the line, but just cannot decide. I also have great friends willing to help me out in conceptualizing and pricing changes needed to make a nearly perfect purchase into an absolutely perfect home in the end. In conclusion...a most important part of what I do is COMMUNICATE. Communication between agent and client is absolutely essential. I make myself available to my clients 7 days a week between 6am and 11pm and pledge to return ALL calls within 30 minutes. Again...communication is essential. There is nothing worse than not knowing whats happening throughout the course of the relationship between agent and client. I do not wish to be left "in the dark" and I'll not ever allow my clients to be out of the loop!

Intuitive, relentless, and loyal. I work for that surge of exitement towards closing...and the uncontrollable smile that follows.
