About SED:
Sustainable Engineering & Design, LLC (SED) is located in Vero Beach, FL, and we offer consulting Civil Engineering services for a variety of clients in the Treasure Coast and throughout the State of Florida. We have developed positive relationships with critical Local, State, and Federal jurisdictional agencies.
David L. Phillips, P.E. is the President of SED and is a registered Civil Engineer that offers nearly two decades of experience in residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal development projects. Mr. Phillips is a LEED Accredited Professional and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Florida Green Buiding Coalition (FGBC). The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating SystemTM encourages global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
The key factors of our business success are by providing responsive client services, complete programming and scope development, quality construction documents to streamline permitting, adherence to performance schedules, and innovative Civil Engineering services to obtain credit for LEED design elements.
SED believes that every project presents the opportunity to serve our clients by providing efficient, timely, and reliable engineering services. SED believes that these objectives can be accomplished in a manner that is cost effective to the client.
Our office coordinates with the Client, Architects, Contractors, and Jurisdictional Agencies to work together in developing the concepts and solutions to create a sustainable development. Development includes residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal projects. "Visioneering" is one of the concepts used, which gives every stakeholder the opportunity to share ideas and think "outside the box" rather than linearly.
The role of Engineering provides the foundation for properly planning, designing, permitting, and constructing development projects that will ultimately help protect the environment.
