I am a native Greenvillian who grew up among a family of REALTORS®. My dad, Martin "Hunky" Holder, began his career in real estate in the early '80s when he established Holder Real Estate Company. Over the course of time his focus switched from home sales to property appraisals. It was at that time the company name was changed to Holder Real Estate and Appraisal Company.
My real estate career began in the late '70s when my aunt established her real estate company. I worked for her until my dad opened his own company. At that time I began working for my dad. I was married at the time with a one year old son. Since I am a detail oriented over-achiever who loves pleasing clients, I found myself away from my children far too much while serving my clients' needs. After years of being away from husband and children, we made a family decision that I would leave real estate until my children were older. Although I was no longer in sales, I continued to assist my aunt and dad whenever needed.
Once my children were grown, I knew I was ready to jump back into the business. Once I decided to re-enter the real estate world, I was lucky enough to be able to return to work with my dad. We were a perfect match since I specialize in assisting buyers and sellers and he specialized in real estate appraisals.
Although my father passed away in October 2005, I continue to work just as he did to ensure his legacy is carried on in all aspects of the company. It gives me great pleasure to talk with those who share their stories about how my father helped them buy or sell property during his early years in real estate. I feel lucky that I had an opportunity to work so close with my dad in a business established by him through his love of helping others.
I am proud to say his legacy remains today through me and my knowledge learned from my father of always giving of myself by helping others with honesty and integrity. I am now the Owner and Broker-in-Charge of Holder Real Estate Company and I will always stand by his philosophy of being honest and upfront with clients without thinking of yourself. He always said, "If you put your clients' needs before your needs, you will always have a successful business" and he was correct.
My specialty is listing and sales in the Golden Strip (Mauldin/Simpsonville/Fountain Inn) areas of Upstate SC. I provide honesty and integrity and focus on my clients' best interest.
