I am the Designated Broker and co-owner of Exit Real Estate Professionals real estate firm in Spokane, Washington. As the Managing Broker of Exit Real Estate Professionals, I created a 16 course training program for new and seasoned agents covering many aspects of a real estate career. It has been called the, "OK, now I have a license, how do I make a living selling real estate?" course. I have helped to grow the company from 10 agents when I joined the company as the sales manager in 1995 to over 75 between the two Spokane offices (and still growing!). I have a tona of passion and enthusiasm for the real estate industry (as evidenced in my decision not to engage in a traditional law practice). I have many years experience in real estate including time spent as an active listing and selling agent, as well as time spent in sales management and training. I have been licensed since 1990 and continues to sell to my sphere of influence today.
Having graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University in 1992 with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Science and Spanish and a concentration in Women's Studies (during which time I began my real estate career), I embarked on my law school adventures. It was that or be a female politician's campaign advisor in South America! I graduated Cum Laude from Gonzaga University School of Law and am a member of the Washington Bar Association having been admitted to the Bar in 1995. I am active in the Spokane community as a member of the Downtown Rotary Club #21 of Spokane and serve on the Gonzaga University Alumni Association Board of Directors as well as the Board of Regents.
I believe my legal background, as well as managing my agents and continuing to sell in the trenches with other real estate professionals makes me uniquely qualified to help any client in negotiations and contract drafting. I fully understand not only the legalese of the contracts, but how to draft them to my client's best interests and navigate what can be complex transactions.
I sell real estate all over the Spokane area in every price range.
Besides listing and selling real estate and managing my real estate office, I also teach continuing education courses to licensed real estate brokers and salespeople. I believe I am a knowledgeable, energetic and often entertaining speaker with much information to share. I was a featured break-out speaker at the Exit Annual Convention in Nashville, TN in October, 2008 and teach classes regularly for the Spokane Association of Realtors in Spokane
I am married a wonderful man, Jeff Schroeder, in 2000. Jeff owns and operates a successful home inspection franchise in Spokane called Pillar to Post. We have two beautiful children, Emerson Grace born in February, 2003 and Cole Logan born in January, 2006. I enjoy bike riding, camping in the family's travel trailer named "Taylor the Trailer," spending time at local lakes around Spokane with extended family, wine collecting, reading, shopping and bargain hunting (Jeff would tell you I am a pro!).
In a prior life, I did a bit of stand-up comedy and won many local joke telling contests. I was also part of an improvisational theater group called G.U.T.S. (Gonzaga University Theater Sports). I love entertaining and making people laugh and this is as much a part of my speaking engagements as imparting truly useful information.
