What does a Realtor really do?
They communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, varying economic positions, often under trying or stressful situations.
I have been in the "service industry" since my first job as a busboy at a neighborhood Italian Restuarant. A lengthy career in law enforcement responding from one crisis to the next, has helped me to develop skills both oral and written.
Problem Solving
The ability to be the calmest party in the transaction, and to think outside the box, create solutions that are a "win-win" for all parties, and stay focused on the prize versus who to blame.
Recently completed a 16 hour, CNE Certified Negotiation Expert course, taught by the well respected Colorado real estate attorney Oliver Frascona.
I have extensive formal training as a Mediator as well.
Driving
You will spend a lot of time in your agent's car shopping for that new home. Not all agents are created equal, and the same can be said for drivers!
I have an exemplary driving record that qualifies me for "good driver" insurance rates. My 2017' 4Runner Limited will get us there in style, rain or snow!
Moral Compass
What is a moral compass? More importantly, what direction does it point? I'd like to think that everyone is created equal in this category, but unfortunately they're not.
I'm not talking about ones religious or personal beliefs here. Rather, one of doing the right thing, ethics, integrity, putting the client above any of my own interests.
Family Needs
Do you or a family member have special needs or accommodations? I truly wish to make everyone comfortable, and will accommodate special needs or requests.
Moving is a stressful time for both parents and children. I have coached children's sports for years, and truly enjoy kids. I will keep the kids entertained sometimes with the help of their favorite snack or drink, sometimes through technology (bring their favorite DVD to watch). This will allow you to focus on your new home search.
If you are selling a home, I will bring them onboard to keep their room in showable condition (really).
Attention to Detail
Sometimes referred to as "OCD" but I still disagree that it should be classified as a "disorder." I am very meticulous, with a sharp eye (often with the help of 125+ power reading glasses) to make sure no stone is unturned.
