My wife and I moved to the Waco area in 1997. We are from Pennsylvania. I worked at Baylor and then earned an MBA from Baylor. I began teaching as a Visiting Professor at Baylor and, while teaching, earned an MSIS at Baylor. I then taught at MCC for 5 years. While teaching, I became a Realtor and sold real estate as well as taught real estate, entrepreneurship, marketing, business and technology at MCC. I decided to practice what I taught and obtained a real estate broker's license to launch Strickler Realty, PLLC. My wife is a professor at Texas A&M of Central Texas. Before she joined Texas A&M of Central Texas, she was a counselor at the state prison and bfore that she worked at MHMR. She also has a private practice which she started 4 years ago. We have two children. The oldest goes to Midway ISD. We are active in his education as well as the beginning of our 3-year-old's education which begins in August at the Waco Babtist Academy.

We are Commissioners for the Methodist Children's Home. We are also active in the Waco, Hewitt and Robinson Chamber of Commerce. My wife is very active in the local social work non-profit organization and in the creation of a local eating disorder clinic called The Haven.
