Began my real estate career while my Army husband was deployed and I wanted a career that provided the freedom to retain my dedication to my family, would pay me what I felt I was worth (unlimited potential!) and would challenge me professionally. I was an active sales agent for 6 years and met those goals consistently. My family enjoyed the benefits of a generous income and I was still a very involved mother of 3 and Army wife.
I followed my pursuit for personal growth to the opportunity as Team Leader for Keller Williams where training and a better economic model were impossible to resist. And OH! how I have grown! Learning by leading has been so rewarding and our office experienced 115% economic (profit!) growth last year in a housing market that was down almost 10%. The constant training opportunities have provided me and my team with a launching pad and a flight plan for continued success and growth. Many of "my" agents are growing teams, building businesses for lifelong stability and meeting personal leadership goals as well.
As I have studied everything from scripts to time management to behavioral profiles and studies, I have put those tools to use in every day practical applications. My current growth path is technology! As I see my agents and the business rapidly change and grow, I struggle to keep up and look forward to being challenged and chided by my peers to try new things and push new territories.
As a sales agent, my strong suit was always Customer Service. When you truly care about the clients and the win-win, success follows.
Service to my Team is my constant as a Team Leader. Everyday I come to work to grow not only our company, but the personal businesses of my team members; to help them develop businesses that truly build wealth and personal and professional satisfaction. To that end, my role is to deliver the tools they need and the support they deserve to achieve their goals.
The tools for success are training, planning, administrative support, technology and a positive work environment. If I can't deliver on those basic levels, the whole cookie crumbles. As an office and a team, we are dedicated to: Profitability, Productivity, Growth and Culture. Some of the sub-categories - that are just as important - are training and technology; areas where we must lead the way in the industry.
Team really does mean working together and without the dedication and commitment of my fellow leaders and agent-leaders, we would not have even moderate success. Our agents have a voice - our books are open, our meetings are open, our training is mutli-faceted and our culture is truly win-win. It's business and we all come to work to get work done, but we also do business one way - the right way. That makes my job as the Team Leader cut and dry!
