When I think about my past, present and future clients and customers, I think about YOU and how I can help you. I think about how stressful buying or selling a home can be; I think about how many realtors in today's market do not listen to your wants, needs and desires; I think about how frustrating it can be when you see a home that you absolutely love and if it's after 5:00 P.M., it's hard to get a realtor to call you back; I think about how frightening it can be to move far from home without someone looking out for your best interests; I think about how our housing market is struggling and how together we can become as creative as possible in order to move your transaction forward whether buying or selling; I foremost think of honesty and trust which are two of the most important factors in any real estate transaction and what I can do to earn that trust from you.
In May of 2008, I earned my certified EcoBroker® designation. What does this mean for you? This means that my expertise in this area imparts into the home buying and selling process, knowledge of ways to improve energy efficiency, air quality and the cost saving benefits thereof by delivering both inexpensive and major investment suggestions for decreasing utility costs, reducing your home's carbon footprint and improving quality of life to my clients and their families in a way that makes good financial and ecological sense to the average Pennsylvania home and condo buyer.
I am not from Pennsylvania but am from North Alabama where I began my real estate career in 1992. My family and I had been desperately searching for a new home in 1991 and noticed that as we went through the home buying process on a daily basis, there were many different stories from many different realtors on the homes we were interested in and all of them were not exactly truthful. I could never get a straight answer from anyone. After months of working our way through this process receiving little if any help from our Realtor, I became even more frustrated. In complete desperation, we decided to stop looking in fear of making the wrong decision and going through all of the games with the different Realtors. I had decided that I did not like or trust Realtors!! I thought that there had to be a better way to do this and felt that being a Realtor was very important and considered it a JOB instead of a HOBBY. That's how my career began...
Consistently one of the top producing Realtors in my hometown and surround area for many years, I loved every minute of it. I moved to Pennsylvania in 2003 and got my real estate license immediately! I knew that moving from the South to the North was going to be a challenge but felt it would make me an even stronger and better Realtor. I initially managed an agency in Newtown, but missed being out of the office where I felt that I could truly help people with their real estate needs. I resigned from that position and began focusing on the new area I now live in. Performing my job up here can be very challenging but I welcome the experience and love meeting and going the distance with my Northern friends. I do have times when I'm a little lost but rest assured that I have 3 Navigation Systems and am not afraid to use them!
I will sit down with you to thoroughly discuss your marketing needs. Together, we will develop a written marketing plan if you are selling your home and give you honest advice on how to prepare and price your home so it will sell quickly. If you are looking to buy a home, I will listen carefully to what you are looking for and will use my knowledge and experience to show you only the properties that fit your description and needs. I am also very experienced in New Construction have extensive knowledge when it comes to coordinating and negotiating between builders and buyers during the home construction process. My husband, Rich and I also own a real estate development and management company and my knowledge of new construction continues to grow on a daily basis.
Being from the South, the strong desire to care about my integrity as well as providing you with a smooth real estate transaction by being there with you every step of the way is very important to me. While in the South, I would strive to make sure that the happiness of my clients and customers came first. It is imperative to me that when our transaction is over, they feel that they have received the best service possible and feel confident referring me to others. I have been told many times that there definitely is a difference in the North and South in how the entire real estate process is handled and I consider that a compliment! Professionalism, attention to detail, catering to my clients and customers, as well as forming a long friendship and bond with them is all part of Southern Hospitality. I hope to have the opportunity to show you the difference!
Experienced and Professional with a touch of Southern Hospitality!
