I am the owner of Protek Computer Solutions, a company founded in 1998 and located in Bothell, WA (near Mill Creek). We are dedicated to providing IT services and technology solutions to the Real Estate and related industries.
I am self taught in computers and technology. Everything I know about computers and technology I learned through trial and error, reading books, surfing the net, and helpful friends.
You may wonder if I'm a Realtor or ever have been one. The answer is no. I've toyed with the idea, but I've decided to focus on my niche instead.

I have expertise in several areas including:
Helping others use and understand technology PC & server hardware - building from scratch, upgrades, and repairs. Networks: Local area networks (LAN's), inter office networks (a.k.a. WAN's or Wide Area Networks). Network security Firewalls E-mail services Wireless networks Virus removal VPN's Virtual Private Networks - Securely accessing a private network like at an office, but from a remote location like your local coffee shop. Running and terminating network cable. Software: Linux, Windows (All versions...even DOS anybody remember DOS?), plus a plethora of user applications that are too numerous to list here. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues of all kinds. PC and server optimization/maintenance Teaching Advising business owners and individuals on technology and how to utilize technology to their best advantage, thus saving them time, money, and frustration.On occasion I've also been known to offer up helpful marketing suggestions.
