My background is in sales, leasing, business development and finance. I started in the real estate industry in 1989 where I worked with a commercial real estate firm in the Washington DC market. Began in the property management division, moved into sales and leasing and later earned the title Executive Vice President after greatly expanding the company. Worked with clients on site selection and business expansion for retail, warehouse, office and residential properties and helped investors improve and reposition underperforming properties. Also advised business owners on business expansion and taught classes on business development at two of US News and World Reports Top Rated High Schools in the Country. I have also guest lectured on the college level at Georgia Southern University. I practice what I preach as an owner in numerous real estate projects. I have worked with all types of clients over the years including Churches, GEICO Insurance, United Rentals of North America - the largest equipment rental company in the world and The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades DC-51, a hundred year old AFL-CIO labor and training organization.I was retained to ensure that a site for The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) landmark Computer Incident Response Center was established in record time after the terrorist attacks in September 2001 prompted the Federal Government to make changes to security infrastructure in the Washington DC area; contract valued at over $250 million dollars. Also represented the world’s largest and most prestigious childhood cancer research organization, the Children’s Oncology Group, and represented the National Childhood Cancer Foundation with its relocation from California to Bethesda Maryland. After my assistance, one of my clients was listed as the 14th fastest-growing private company in the United States by Inc. Magazine. I have been hired to settle property disputes by investigating and providing independent opinions of value and have worked on numerous real estate litigation including a homeowner's association dispute and a $40 million dollar landlord tenant case. Have been hired by lending institutions to help with troubled assets and help structure financing for clients on a regular basis.I have experience in the construction field and have personally remodeled and overseen a long list of construction projects. Former law enforcement officer and owner of an IT and security consulting company over the years. In my spare time I enjoy performing in various shows at The Emma Kelly Theater at the Averitt Center for the Arts in downtown Statesboro. Locally, I have served as a Commissioner for the City of Statesboro's Planning Commission, a member of the Statesboro Rotary Club, the Statesboro Board of Realtors and the Statesboro Chamber of Commerce. You can read my "expert answers" to readers' real estate questions in the Expert's section of the Statesboro Herald. I live in Statesboro with my faithful real estate assistant/wife and three great children who can help determine which home has the "best play area." Give me a call today and we can get started right away.
