Beth is a lifelong Defiance resident. and is currently the owner of two related businesses: Northwest Appraisal Company, with 10 appraisers covering 20 counties, and Northwest Cleaning Services, with 7 staff members providing cleaning services 7 days a week.

She is a graduate of Albion College , with a Bachelor's Degree, and later received a Masters Degree from Bowling Green State University . Real estate and appraisal coursework followed.

Currently , she teaches pre-licensing and continuing education classes on a part-time basis for Hondros College , and has been awarded the Real Estate Division's Rookie Instructor of the Year and Instructor of the Year awards. She recently authored her first textbook, Mortgage Fraud, and has written online and classroom courses on Supervising the Trainee, Hot Topics in Appraisal, the Cost Approach, the Sales Comparison Approach, the Income Approach, and others. She is also a certified instructor for the Appraisal Foundation.

Her appraisal practice includes residential, commercial, industrial, and farm properties, with emphasis on providing expert witness testimony in court cases.

She is a member of the Defiance Chamber of Commerce, Zonta Club of Defiance , National Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, and the Northwest Ohio Board of Realtors. A member of First Presbyterian Church in Defiance, she currently serves as a church elder.

Her three sons are all out on their own after being raised in Defiance. Ryan is a graphic artist in Portland , Oregon , and has served as designer of this website. Brent is an attorney, currently residing in Chicago . Curt is working as rental manager at Northwest Appraisals as he continues his education. They all enjoy vacation time at their family cottage at Crooked Lake, Indiana. And in her "spare" time, Beth enjoys traveling in the U.S. and beyond.
