Get to Know Nate Blury II

My name is Nate Blury II and I am an Entrepreneur.

As the son of a Financial Planner I am no stranger to the world of personal finance.  Since buying a home is usually one's largest financial transaction, I feel right at home (no pun intended).  My goal is to educate; take the guesswork out of home financing; that way, there are no surprises along the way.  I also want to make sure that my clients are comfortable with the entire process...  After all, buying a house should be fun and exciting, right?

I am a hard worker; I started working at the ripe old age of 12 when I started a property management company.  By age 16 I ran most of the professional buildings in my hometown's downtown business district.  I also started consulting around then too.  I worked with City Governments, Chambers of Commerce, and Downtown Business Authorities to develop programs to stimulate local economies at the grassroots level.  I also did event coordination for large scale events, concerts, and festivals...

I moved to the Grand Rapids area in 2007, and my wife and I currently live in Kentwood, (with our dog Astro).  I love Hiking, Biking, and Walking my Dog... I volunteer with the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, and as a chaperone at local Youth Group.  I also love to travel and learn new things about other cultures...

Certifications

I originally got into the Mortgage Business, because, when my wife and I bought our first home together it was our Mortgage Guy (not our Realtor) who made our home ownership dream come true.  Exceptional service and a knowledgeable background is what it is all about.  Now that I do this for a living, I love to help First-Time Home-Buyers realize their homeownership dream as well.

I also specialize in Refinances for existing homeowners.  I am passionate about showing clients the benefit of rate & term refinances can be.  It is not just about the program, it is about the numbers.  I love to show clients how to, "do the math" behind their loan so they can see first-hand how much interest is saved when they drop from a 30yr to a 15yr fixed rate.

I love to work hand in hand with Financial Planners to show how one's largest investment (their house) can be an investment and their most valuable asset...

I specialize in Conventional Mortgage Products, FHA, and USDA as well...
