Get to Know Matthew Quackenbush
After 34 years in public service, I retired for one year and decided a life of leisure was not for me. I had dabbled in real estate years ago as an investor and landlord and I have always been interested in the real estate market. So, here I am well into my second career.
As a lifelong Albany resident, I am very proud of my home town and all that it can provide. I have travelled extensively and have yet to find an area that appeals to me more than the Capital District. From the proximity to major metropolitan areas (New York, Boston, Montreal), the seashore (Cape Cod in particular) and the mountains (I love the Adirondacks and the Catskills) and what I consider a small city with both a homey and a cosmopolitan feel.
On a personal level, I am an avid Skier, biker, camper and volleyball player. I was president of the Out of Control Ski Club for three years and have been very active with that organization for many years. I sell the OC Ski Club as much as I sell real estate.
Certifications
I work with both buyers and sellers. I have listed and sold both single family and multi-family residential real estate. I think my knowledge of the Capital District is one of my strong points, I know what is happening in Albany and all of the surrounding communities. I have great network of all types of vendors and I am always willing to do, and accept referrals.
