Get to Know Mary Colson
Becoming a Real Estate Professional was a long time dream that began after several relocations for work! What fun helping people realize their dream of finding just the "perfect" house or helping them sell their house to move on to a new beginning. As a former "stay at home mom/desperate housewife", I began my second career as a Banker and after a few years, with the kids grown up, decided, now's the time. I began by working as Buyer's Agent on a part time basis, I would work all day at the bank, drive over to The Condo Marketplace, meet with Buyer's and show property til dark. On weekends, I showed property and held open houses - wow, I loved it. Meeting new people and getting to know them, forming friendships is wonderful. The Condo Marketplace merged with Century 21 and my expertise expanded to single family residential homes and relocation of corporate transferees. I continued my real estate education and earned several designations, including, GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) Associate Broker and Prelicense Instructor. When my Century 21 office merged with another company and closed the Woodstock office, I was offered a Broker Support position with a locally owned company with over 2700 agents. Now, I am back to what I love, working with buyers and sellers and teaching CE classes as part of Maximum One Realty,
