Get to Know Mary Mastro
My real estate career probably started back in Des Plaines, IL where I grew up spending many Sundays visiting Open Houses with my parents. After earning a degree in Public Relations from the University of Illinois and working for Ann Landers at the Chicago Sun Times, I packed up my interpersonal and listening skills and moved on to other career challenges while raising a family. My passion for the career path ignited again in 1980 when I was ferociously "bitten" by the real estate bug while living in Arlington, TX. I trained under the "grand dame" of Dallas real estate, Ebby Halliday and really learned the "business" there.
I have been a resident of the Sarasota/Manatee community for over 25 years, active in my church, and had served on the school board of Cardinal Mooney High School for several years. Through my daily associations and networking I am able to provide direction and guidance to those new to our wonderful area in need of qualified service providers.

Because I am very comfortable in working with buyers and sellers from all walks of life I pride myself in having the knowledge necessary to satisfy their real estate needs. Geographically, I work in all areas of Sarasota and Manatee counties to include waterfront, inland communities, gated communities, golf communities, boating communities and any other areas of interest to my clients. Lakewood Ranch, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, University Park, Parish, River Club, The Founders Club, and The Lake Club are just a few of the local areas in which I have sold and listed property. I continually strive to satisfy the needs of my customers in term of price, type of property, size of property, amenities needed, and overall what will make for a smooth and seamless transition into their "new home" in our beautiful part of the country. I am an excellent listener and work very hard to partner with my people in all phases of the buying or selling process,
My professional memberships include the National Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors, Sarasota Association of Realtors, Women's Council of Realtors Corresponding Secretary 2009, Recording Secretary, 2011 and selected as "2011 Member of the Year" by the WCR, Sarasota Chapter. Additionally, I am a member of the ALC (Agent Leadership Council) at our Keller Williams Market Center and chaired the Social Committee in 2010 and 2012, along with spearheading several KW Cares charitable intiatives throughout our community.
