I have more than 25 years in business: thirteen plus years in real estate of which more than five years in residential and eight years in commercial with a concentration in commercial leasing having managed more than a thousand retail properties from contract negotiation to payment authorizations for three national retailers.  I've held real estate licenses in both Tennessee and Maryland.  I spent three plus years as an investment broker with Hilliard Lyons, a regional investment company, and five years as a legal assistant in a large Washington, DC law firm specializing in regulatory laws (specifically banking law).
       Having negotiated more than 1,000 commercial leases provided great insight in determining what motivates all parties to a transaction and the ability to help each party reach their own personal comfort level.  After all, buyers, sellers and their agents are working toward the same goal: to complete the sale. The biggest mistake a realtor can make is to assume an adversarial position of the parties involved. I will work diligently at keeping the emotions out of the transaction.
       I've attended numerous conferences and seminars in retail leasing and leasing law with additional continuing education in Lease Auditing.  That exposure combined with my law firm experience, has given me a full appreciation and respect for the legal aspects of contracts and the consequences of insufficient agreement language.   I am a past member of National Retail Tenants Association (NRTA) as well as past member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). 

It is my belief that the purchase of a house should combine the quality of life in a home, as well as the quality of investment. I will always use these two criteria when searching for your new home, or selling your existing home. When searching, selling or leasing a commercial property, I will use past investment experience as well as commercial real estate experience gained to execute your purchase, sale or lease.
