As a Washington native, Marcelina moved to Duvall in 1993 where most of her extended family currently resides. Marcelina is an active community member; she was elected as the 2010 President of the Duvall Chamber of Commerce and continues volunteering her personal time to on the steering committee for the Duvall Day's Celebration and the Duvall's Dirty Paws Dogwalk. Marcelina balances her life by walking her dog, Dakota, on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail and spending time riding her horse on the Tolt Pipeline and on the Carnation Highland's Trails.
