Get to Know Allison Cook Pilitsis

Prior to joining The Maine  Real Estate Network, I was a seasoned expert in the hospitality and travel industry for over 23 years. I served mainly fortune 500 companies for the first 10 years, catering to their incentive travel programs all over the world, having worked in 77 countries. A partial list of clients included: General Electric, Ford, Citibank, Toyota, Panasonic, Xerox, and NAB (National Assn. of Broadcasters). I then spent the next 13 years of my travel career on the island of St. Maarten/Martin in the Caribbean where I owned and operated a destination management company, car rental and bus company. My business catered to much of my old client base as well as new government officials such as President George H.W. Bush, French Prime Minister Francois Mitterand as well as media giants CNN, ABC, and CBS. Over the course of this time, I was able to establish a reputation for highly reliable and personalized service. I perfected my organizational and problem solving skills while managing the complexities and unpredictabilities of doing business in the Caribbean and working with the local governments.

After having devoted much of my life to the Caribbean, I chose to return to the US. Having been born and raised in Waterville Maine and spending the summers in the Belgrade Lakes region, it was only fitting that I return to raise my two sons where the slogan is "The Way Life Should Be." A better choice could not have been made. After working for Marriott Hotels as the Director of Sales, I entered the world of real estate. My career began with a franchise firm before chosing to join the the Maine Real Estate Network Team,  the largest locally  owned agency in the state of Maine. I like to specialize in lakefront property but have proficient knowledge in all of the mid-coast and southern Maine regions.

I have 2 wonderful sons each who recently graduated from  Babson College in Wellesley, MA and  the other from  Bentley University in Waltham, MA . Both played soccer at their respective colleges, one a midfielder at Babson and the other a starting goal keeper at Bentley. I loved being that proverbial Soccer Mom.

I have studied at the University of Maine in Orono, Katherine Gibbs School in Boston and the L'Institute de Francais in Villefranche, France while having lived for periods of time in Venice, Italy, Villefranche, France and Thessaloniki, Greece and of course 13 years on the  Caribbean Island of St. Maarten/St. Martin.

I am a member of the following organizations

Maine Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors Merrymeeting Board of Realtors Accredited Staging Specialist Effeciency Maine Certified

I understand what it means to offer a high level of personalized service and I go above and beyond the acceptable standard.

Area of Expertise:  I love my state and am willing to travel anywhere to assist anyone if they really don't have any idea where they would like to live in Maine, but have an idea of what they want.  Of course, having grown up on the lake, I love showing and selling lakefront or oceanfront propeties.  There is something so wonderfully calming about living on the water.

Aside from Real Estate, I have ventured into other areas to pick up the slack during this Real Estate and economic downturn.  I'm capable of learning and adapting to anything.  I've been a field interviewer cold calling door to door for a National Government Study, offering top notch service in the flagship store of LL Bean during the Holiday season, and now cold calling selling digital media for the Health Care Industry. I'm ready and willing to learn and train in new areas using my past life and business experiences and wisdom to contribute to the success of the company who is willing to see what a dynamite , dedicated and hard working employee I can be.  They rarely make them like me anymore.
