Get to Know Laurie Gibson

I am an Idaho native.  I was born in Caldwell and grew up in a veriaty of places in Idaho, with   a few years spent in Wyoming and Washington.  Graduated from Middleton High school, where I met my husband, and have now been married for 30yr.  We love spending time with our family and friends.

After high school I worked for the Caldwell School District for about 7yr. in the Hearing Impaired program working with the deaf children as an interpreter, which I enjoyed very much.  Seeking a new experience I decided to attend Beauty School and have worked in the service industry for 20yr.  I have learned a lot in my time there and have met some extraordinary people, that have inspired me and encouraged me throughout the years.

My decision to be a Realtor,  stems from my desire to continue to serve people, as well as , move forward and seek new challenges in my life.  I have now been in Real Estate for 8yr and my time here has been a great reward to me.   I was given "Rookie of the Year" Award in 2008 at Access Realty of Idaho.  I served on the Caldwell Board Of Realtors as Secretary/ Treasurer for 3 yr. I have leared a lot from working hard in a difficult market and work even harder to provide my clients the best real estate experience available.

I am a member of the Caldwell Board of Realtors, The Idaho Association of Realtors, as well as, the National Association of Realtors. I ad-hear to the strict code of Ethics set forth by those organizations.

As a life long resident of Idaho and Caldwell, I have watched as the city leaders, with a vision, have changed the face of this community.  The opening of the Indian Creek, which meanders thur the down town area, breaths new life into a previously dull city, and gives a park like feeling. The city has done a great job of scheduling event that center around the Creek. Every year the attendance to the events is up.  Thats a great boost for Caldwell. Caldwell has needed something like this to pull the Caldwell pride out of is residents.

Something new this year, Caldwell is going to have a Community Garden,  for a small fee you may participate. The 1/4 acer area will be planted, the labor and the harvest is all shared. This is a great opportunity to have fresh healthy food for your family.

Caldwell has always been a beautiful city even before the new green belt near the Creek.  We have a beautiful Golf Course in the middle of town as well, used year round, you know those die hard golfers! How many small communities can boast that?

Caldwell has several beautiful Parks, the largest being Caldwell Memorial Park, which houses the city pool, several ball parks and a band shell which is available to the public for family reunions, party's ect...  These parks are well maintained with lush green grass, play ground equipment, lots of room for all kinds of events.

Caldwell can also boast fishing pond.  The Caldwell Rotary Ponds are just next to town and provide an easy afternoon of fishing, picnicking, with a well maintained green belt around them.  If your looking for water sports, Lake Lowell is 5 miles from town, launch your boat, jet ski, or just go swimming, all within a few minutes from home.

I am excited as Caldwell is still evolving and changes can be seen all around us, the newest being the new Treasure Valley Community College building going up.

There are great thing ahead, I'm glad to live here.  Anyone that hasn't seen Caldwell lately needs to take another look!  You will be glad you did!
