For me, a day of rest comes from being able to walk the beach and hear the water come ashore.  Pure joy is watching the shore birds. It has been a real surprise to see how much green and life the marsh grass provides. Beaufort makes it easy to find the social involvement I cherish as well as the art, music and literature. Scott and I had been so fortunate to have lived in the Western Caribbean after leaving our businesses and careers in Colorado Springs. I feel equally as fortunate to have found Beaufort with its ease of access to metropolitan amenities but life as in a small sea side town.
