Kimberly French joined the Century 21 Energy Shield team in 2009. Kimberly grew up in Scarborough, Maine but moved to Vermont at age 17 to attend Castleton State College. While there, she worked in the Admissions office as a Tour Guide. She gave over 3,500 tours in her 5 years at CSC. While earning her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and Spanish (with dual minors in Psychology and Philosophy), she met her husband, Shawn, a native of Bradford, VT. Kimberly was also a member of the Who's Who of American College and University Students for two years in a row.
Kimberly went on to earn her Master's degree in Counseling Education from Plymouth State College. She has worked at a variety of jobs in the counseling field including a treatment coordinator and individual/group therapist at the Becket School in Pike, NH and a guidance counselor at several local smaller schools in the SAU #23 school district. Also, for the past 10 years, she has worked as an adjunct professor teaching behavioral science courses at the Community College of Vermont and at Granite State College.
Kimberly has also spent a lot of time the last 13 years being home with her 4 children. She even started the French Family Daycare to allow her to stay home with her children while making an income. She is an active member of her local community in Bradford, VT. She has served on the local Elementary School board, as a member of their school improvement team, and as head of their Playground committee. She also served as President of the Valley Cooperative Preschool. Kimberly has been a Soccer coach for Bradford Youth Sports several times over the last 8 years and is now coaching Middle School Girl's Soccer at Oxbow. She also has been extensively involved with Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains for the past 8 years as a leader, Fall Product Manager, Service Unit Manager and Trainer. She is currently the manager for the Upper Valley Green Streaks AAU Girl's Basketball Team. In her free time, she enjoys photography, scrapbooking, swimming, biking, and traveling with her family.
