I am a 20 year resident of Key West and a semi-native Floridian, having lived in all major sections of the state since I was 9 years old.  I received a BBA in Management and an MBA in Finance from Memphis State University and am a U. S. Army veteran with service in Vietnam '71-'72.  After a long career in commercial banking in Memphis and Sarasota, I moved to Miami and owned and operated a sailboat dealership in the late ‘80's.  A return to banking brought me to Key West in 1989 when, like many others, I fell in love with the Keys and never left.

In 1992 I became a licensed mortgage broker and opened The Mortgage Company of the Keys.  Since then we have financed thousands of homes from Marathon to Key West.  Having established a reputation as knowledgeable and trustworthy in real estate financing I am frequently asked for advice about the purchase and sale process.  In the current changing market environment, it is apparent that there is a need in real estate sales for people who have technical expertise in dealing with lenders and the people skills to help guide buyers and sellers through the ever more complex process.  To fill that need I became a Realtor and joined Beach Club Brokers.

I bring to Key West and the Lower Keys in-depth knowledge of the real estate market based on 20 years as a resident, business owner, and investor.  With my extensive financing background I can provide buyers the assurance that they can qualify for the home they want, and sellers the comfort of knowing that financing is available to their prospective buyers.  With many property owners facing the likelihood of a "short sale", the assistance of a Realtor with experience in dealing with lenders and their ever-changing documentation can make the difference between a successful sale and a foreclosure.  I am committed to applying all of my knowledge and expertise toward the goal of a satisfactory real estate transaction for all parties.
