Indian Rocks Beach was originally settled in the 1800s when legend has it Indians still visited its rock encircled spring. The Indian Beach Hotel arrived in the early 1900s, and in the 1950s growth really accelerated. Today, Indian Rocks Beach is thriving with local character and culture that preserve the original community flavor. In his career Ken has led real estate at Florida beach resorts in Destin, Naples, Panama City Beach, and Tampa. He is humble to be associated with Broker, Pat Plumlee, who has earned a stellar reputation over 40 years. Like Pat, Ken has been helping buy, develop, build and remodel, and sell properties for decades. As Team Leader for Plumlee Real Estate Sales, our associates help busy families achieve their personal goals for property in the Indian Rocks beach area. He and his Plumlee team make it their business to know what the Pinellas County real estate market is doing at all times and are happy to share this local knowledge. Ken holds a Degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Alabama. After entering the building and real estate business he became a broker and general contractor and advanced to senior executive leadership. He has been successful with national companies as Director of Sales, Executive VP of Real Estate, and President CEO with assignments in Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Utah, Georgia. Florida is considered home since moving here in 1974. And, living all across the United States has certainly taught Ken to connect well with people. During his career Ken has served as local, state, and national officer with the National Association of Realtors, National Association of Homebuilders, and Associated General Contractors and been a Realtor in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Texas. In 2006 Ken was selected as the Director of the Year for Intrawest (international beach resort developer). When not dealing with real estate, Ken enjoys boating, flying, sporting clays, and college football. He and his wife Kathy are the delighted parents of two. Daughter Danielle is an Analyst for an international Wall Street financial firm in New York City, and son Zach is a student at St Petersburg College, plus works at the firm with Ken and his wife Kathy.
