Long before I became a real estate agent, I went to the University of CA at Davis where I was introduced to the sport of Polo. I became one of the few women professionals in the world. I began my career in Polo as a groom in Santa Barbara, New Zealand, and Argentina. I learned the business from the ground up. Started two clubs in Los Angeles, (Griffith Park and Winston Polo), then moved to the desert and played professionally for about 18 years!
Polo is a team sport, especially if you are the only woman on the team and many times, the entire field. Negotiate, exchange ideas, develop back up plans, be quick to respond, and do not dwell on the goal you missed! I still play for fun, and own 3 or 4 horses most of the time..young ones that I train to play.
Fifteen years ago, I got my real estate license in Kauai, HI, and then Calif. My home base has always been in the Desert. Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Palm Desert and the more rural, equestrian oriented East Valley cities of Thermal, Coachella, VSR & Indio. Seven years ago, I became certified in Short Sales. I list, negotiate and CLOSE my Short Sales..no 3rd party used or needed!
I use the same rules in my real estate dealings, that I learned on the field. Educate myself, listen, exchange ideas, be open to quick changes and stay up with the play! Real Estate negotiating is similar in that your real estate agent has to adapt quickly, stay ahead of the game, have a back up plan, and be a team player.
I did this video at my "other office", the polo fields!
I do not believe in the "hard-sell." I think that it is my job first and foremost to educate my clients. They need to have a good understanding of the market in the Coachella Valley. Any of our beautiful desert cities, whether La Quinta, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, Palm Desert, or the east Valley, should be explored, as well as their surrounding areas. With so many abandoned projects and city councils cutting back on spending..these details are critical to Buyers and Sellers. I do my homework. If I do not have an answer, I will admit it, and then do the research required to provide my Clients with the information they need.
I firmly believe that a Buyer will know when they "feel" the home In 2015, Buyers are mostly buying homes they plan to live in, as opposed to just investing or flipping their properties. I believe this trend in the Palm Springs Valley will continue through 2016, and hopefully beyond!
My Clients become my friends, and we share a mutual trust, and respect. My past clients' referrals turn into my current and future clients..and friends.

I thought buying a home would be at the very least overwhelming process, Kim however made it seamless. I would fully recommend Kim for any type of Real Estate transaction. She is relentless in her efforts to get you want and she does it with honesty, integrity and a great sense of humor as a bonus. Kim doesn't mess around so if you are ready for change than grab the reigns and hold on tight because it is going to be an exciting experience working with her.
John Henry Garcia, Short Sale Seller
I had to short sell my home. I researched short sale experts and Kimberley's name came up a few times. Called and interviewed her. At the very beginning, she told me about the process and expectations. No false hopes. Clear and honest. Within the first month she had a buyer. During the entire process she would send me updates. This was a positive experience.

It took us over a year to fine our new winter home. Kim was very patient with us and showed us many many homes in many many different developments. She knows here real estate and knows this area very well. We would highly recommend Kim for anyone buying or selling a home.

We just bought our second home, in less than a year, with Kim Kelly as our agent. This purchase was a vacation rental property. Kim knew what we needed and where we needed to be located better than we knew ourselves! Not only did Kim located the perfect property but at an unbelievable price! Once again, Kim Kelly hit the ball out of the park!
B. Rincon, La Quinta home buyer

Kim really knows Real Estate. I have had other agents before, but she is by far the most professional. She never stops working for her clients. I will always use her in the future, so should you if you want to get things done.

•“Kim Kelly was the most interactive, “in-tune”, “any time, any where”, agent I have ever worked with! I have owned many homes, and Kim went out of her way to listen to me and understand my feelings about important key factors such as a home with low maintenance, low HOA’s, open floor plan, location, noise level, and so much more! Every time she showed me a potential home, she thought of all the factors, as if she were shopping for the house herself! I trusted her completely and would have her as my agent again as well as recommend her to everyone I know! Thank you Kim Kelly, you (and your website) made my home purchase so easy!”

◾We lived in Nicaragua when we first contacted Kim. She was diligent about finding us interesting, potential winter vacation homes that might suit. If she’s as committed on the field as she is off the field, I wouldn’t want to face her in a polo game! Great experience!

"We were referred to Kim by our Attorney, who also plays polo. We are glad he did! Kim knows the Coachella Valley and made such an effort to understand our needs. Detail oriented, which is important to us as fellow horse owners, she made it easy and fun to buy our home! She’ll be our first call when we have any real estate needs in the future."
Dayelle Fargay, Calgary, Canada
"As a polo player and horse trainer, I knew I HAD to call Kim! She was focused on the field and she’s just as focused looking for homes. She found my perfect fit!"
The Foltins, Seattle, WA
"We found Kim online. When we met her, she was very willing to spend time with us. It took us a few trips, but we found our winter retreat at The Citrus Club in La Quinta. Kim followed up with us diligently, and made it easy"
