My Full Service Real Estate Team is growing stronger every year.  I have been licensed as a California Realtor since 2004 managing sales teams in new home construction before starting my own Real Estate Team under the International Brokerage Keller Williams Realty here in El Cajon, CA.  I take my career seriously and the secret to my success is simply delivering on every promise.

I graduated in 1990 at San Marcos High and achieved a B.A. in Speech Communication at CSUC in 1996.  I briefly lived in Brazil after college to learn Portuguese and a new culture before returning to San Diego in 1998 to begin my career in the Automotive Industry and then Real Estate in 2004. My wife is a Social Science teacher at El Capitan High School in Lakeside. We hope to have children soon and love spoiling our niece and nephews. 

Any agent can be successful with clients willing to pay top dollar for a property.  However too few agents are willing to fight hard for their FHA/VA buyers when competing against dozens of Conventional and Cash offers. I continue to close these types of “underdog” deals month after month and I will tell you, with genuine hard work, creativity, and perseverance you can make the impossible, sometimes possible.

My simple philosophy is that if it’s best for them not to buy, I tell them not to buy.  If it’s best for them not to sell, I tell them not to sell. Looking out for their best interest gets me more business than I ever imagined. Ultimately, providing a service to mankind is what we’re all meant to do so I just want to be the best I can be at it and enjoy this journey as much as I can.

Clients want a skilled brokerage team that can handle tough negotiations, know where the good deals are and make sure their clients are informed so they can make good decisions. I stay on top of the real estate market by interactive blogging on social media. I believe in the responsibility of honing my skills by continuing my education with teaching as well as attending seminars.... and most of all to always LISTEN to my beloved clients.

Amazing does not even begin to describe Joe O'Meara. My husband and I first starting working with Joe when he helped us buy our condo in 2010. We were first time buyers and he held our hand every step of the way. He always gets back to you in a timely manner, and if he doesn't know the answer to a question, he will find out and get back to you ASAP. Joe makes you feel like you are his only client and we have always felt like he had our best interest at heart. He even found us other Realtors to work with when we were looking into buying land and homes out of the area. I can't say how thankful I am to have had Joe help me and my husband buy our first home! He was awesome. Very knowledgable, quick to respond, does his research, follows-up proactively and is very diligent. We looked at over 30 homes with him - we were looking at short sales and the market was very competitive. I don't know how many other agents would have been able to keep up. He kept us upbeat when we would get discouraged in our search for the perfect home and he stayed on point when we were ready to make offers. Joe still periodically checks in with information that he thinks we would be interested in - recent sales in our neighborhood, comps, current interest rates etc. It's not a mass email - you can tell he puts thought in what he sends and is customized to you. I get tons of emails a day and I look forward to hearing from Joe. I know when we're ready to buy our second home or sell our current home he'll be our first call.

Thank goodness for Joe. He was quick to pick me up and get me moving. He was able to put all the pieces together and made it look like he actually enjoyed doing it. He was able to deliver a favorable outcome for me, was an absolute pleasure to work with, and made me think the switch might just have happened for a reason... Joe I thank you. My wife thanks you. "I can truly say you were there with us every step of the way and provided much needed guidance from the beginning to end. As you know escrow can be time consuming and one must learn patience. I can say you really helped keep us calm and collective during the underwriting phase of our loan. Once we secured our clear to close you also took the time to communicate every detail with the seller we requested. Following that you made certain we recorded with the count the day of funding so we could quickly move into out residence. As a first time buyer I was new to the home buying process, however Joe OMeara proved to be a great resource. He was in constant communication with me and made sure I was informed through each step. Now even though the sale is final he is still there for any questions or concerns. I would recommend Joe to anyone looking for a Realtor who has their client's best interest at heart.

I told Joe I wanted to put in an offer for $138k and he told me to offer $128k. After negotiations we settled with the seller at $131k. I couldn't believe it! He saved us $7,000. Joe truly looked out for my best interest. Even after we closed escrow he has followed up making sure everything is going ok. He delivers what he promises.
