Get to Know Jim Weis

My philosophy regarding my real estate business is to treat every transaction as if it were my own. How would I feel if I were in my client’s position? What does my client wish to accomplish? What do I need to do to make this happen? I throw myself totally into every transaction. I am there every step of the way providing the best service I possibly can.
Communication is crucial. I am reachable at all times by phone or e-mail.

When I am representing a buyer I will do my best to locate every available property that would meet my clients needs. My ultimate goal is to find the property that best fulfills my clients needs and wishes and at the best possible price.

I approach working with sellers in much the same way. How can I get the seller where he/she wants to be? What can we do to sell their property at the highest possible price and in a time frame that works for the seller.

Who is Jim and why chose him?

Jim was born and raised in West Petaluma. He is a 4th generation Petaluman and is very involved with the community. He served 8 years as a trustee with Wilmar School District. He is also a past board member of the Petaluma 7-11 Lions Club and Petaluma Chapter of Realtors. Jim and his wife, Michelle, have worked with Rebuilding Together and have volunteered for seven years for the Carousel Fund helping raise money for children with catastrophic illnesses. Michelle is also a licensed real estate agent and is Jim’s full time assistant.

Jim and Michelle have three boys ranging in ages12, 15 and 18. The boys are involved in sports and 4-H. Jim and Michelle are actively involved in the California 4-H Youth Development Program. They currently serve as project leaders in archery and swine for Golden Hill’s 4-H. In his spare time Jim enjoys playing music, shooting pool and camping with the family. Jim also coached baseball for the Petaluma Boys and Girls Clubfor many years.

As a fourth generation Petaluman and having literally "grown up" on his grandparent's ranch in West Petaluma (where he currently resides in a home he and his wife had built) he feels a unique bond with the area and is familiar with local well and septic and land use issues. Now entering his 22nd year selling real estate, he has successfully completed hundreds of transactions including residential, bare land, multiple units, ranches, commercial, 1031 exchanges, etc. In this current market he has worked extensively with short sales and bank owned properties. Jim is a firm believer in real estate education. After receiving his real estate license he continued his real estate studies and received his brokers license in 1992. Jim has a make it happen attitude. Just ask any of his past clients (references available). In fact, almost 90% of Jim’s business comes from past clients and their referrals.
