Get to Know Kathleen Hunko
I have lived in Kitsap County since 1980 and the Lake Tahuyeh community for 23 years. I sold real estate in New Jersey while my husband attended school, and after moving here, worked as a volunteer parent at my daughter's school. I have always loved looking at homes and architecture, so when my daughter left for college, it seemed like the right time to begin my real estate career again here in Washington. It is a fun, exciting job and a challenge for sure. I am very interested in doing the best I can to improve my "foot print" on the planet, and look forward to the changes coming my way in the future, like downsizing, walking to the market, and looking at properties with one level!
Certifications
As with any job, it takes a while to feel like an expert but my interests seem to gravitate toward condo's and townhomes, and am also working towards my Accredited Buyer's Represetative designation. That may take a bit longer, but meanwhile I hope to help newer buyers with finding their first home, and helping them navigate the lending maze. I am also a Certified Home Marketing Specialist and really enjoy the marketing aspects of listing property. I hope to continue gaining additional accredidation in that area as well. Seems like in a market like ours, any additional help I can offer the sellers in marketing their property to it's highest advantage and presenting it to the buyers in it's best form, the better chance we'll have of moving the home quickly to the new owners who can't wait to move in to their new dream home.
