Get to Know Debra Heiney
Hello, a little bit about me, I am a licensed REALTOR ® and the lead buyer's agent for The Jim Mills Team. One of my key strengths is my tremendous work ethic and attention to detail-personal strengths most appreciated by the large number of clients I have had the privilege to serve since joining The Jim Mills Team in 2000.
Before working in the real estate industry, I was a schoolteacher for 13 years. In this profession, I learned firsthand about the demands and pressures faced daily by families, which drives my passion to alleviate the stress of the real estate transaction process for all of my clients.
When I first joined The Jim Mills Team, I served in an administrative capacity, but my talents and hard work quickly brought me up to speed on all aspects of the real estate business. This working knowledge and hands-on experience propelled me to seek formal training to better serve the team's valued clients. My extensive education includes the following certifications: ABR, GRI, ePro, e-Certified and CRS designations.
I was born in Ohio and raised in West Virginia , where I taught in a rural town of only 650 people. My upbringing in small-town America was a perfect fit for my eventual move to Berkeley County . I moved here in 1999 and began teaching in Moncks Corner. I am now a resident of Goose Creek.
I am a member of the South Carolina Association of REALTORS ® , the National Association of REALTORS ® , and the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS ® . Despite my extensive training and affiliation with professional organizations, I do my own "homework" everyday by regularly studying local residential real estate listings and industry information sources in order to maintain an edge for my clients.
I am driven to work in an ethical, professional and loyal manner both as a member of The Jim Mills Team and as a representative of my valued clients. I enjoy helping people and love to see people get excited. Working with a team of professionals committed to ethics and honesty is important to me.
Certifications
My areas of expertise is residential in the Charleston Tri-County area which includes Berkeley County, Charleston, County and Dorchester County. I also specialize in the First Time Home Buyer as well as New Construction. It is always an exciting purchase whether it is your first home or your 5th transfer and choosing an area if you are from out of town is difficult. Summerville, Charleston, Goose Creek, Mt Pleasant and West Ashley as well as the other areas are great cities to live in when you make the move to Charleston, SC.
