Get to Know Heidi Haaland

I have been a Realtor since 2000. However, it has been a long standing joke in my family that I have actually been in Real Estate since I was five years old which was when I started going to open houses with my Mother, MickiHess, who is also a Realtor.

Still today, we work together on many transactions and make a great team. I am blessed to be a second generation Realtor.

I have lived in Maple Grove for most of my life and graduated from Osseo Sr. High School in 1993. From there, I went to the University of Wisconsin-Stout and studied Psychology.

After college, I became a corporate trainer with Ultimate Electronics. With Ultimate, I traveled around the country as a Corporate Trainer teaching many classes on Customer Service and Business Management. I was with Ultimate for 12 years when I decided that while it was wonderful to travel, meet different people and see the country, it was time to settle down. By this point, I had had my Real Estate License for 5 years to help my mother out on a part time basis, so the transition into Full Time Real Estate seemed only natural.

We just built a new home in Rogers in 2012. I live there with my husband, Mark and our 2 boys Alex (7) and Max (2). We also have 2 cats, Skip and Rocky. We are active members in our church, Word of Peace in Rogers. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, exercise, reading, time at the lake when time allows and of course, shopping!

Certifications

I enjoy working with both Buyers as well as Sellers. I enjoy working with Sellers as it is exciting to be there with my clients as they move on to their next step in life. A change in life can be stressful, so I like to believe I am there to at least remove the stress from the home selling process. I work only with Traditional Sellers and do not work with Bank Owned or Short Sale clients. However, I have excellent referrals for both if they are necessary. I like to focus my service on where it belongs, with my clients and not with a bank. Working with Buyers is also very exciting. There is nothing like the thrill of showing my buyers their next home, and seeing their faces light up and watch them getting excited right away. I strongly believe that people know if they are standing in the home they are going to purchase within a few minutes of walking in the door. I thrive on finding that perfect home, so I get the joy out of watching their excitement and helping them through the process.

Buyers or Sellers, it is all about taking care of the client, providing the most tech forward experience so clients are able to utilize every tool available to them and being a great listener. No one ever learned anything by talking- so I always start with listening to what my clients needs really are and go from there.

Most of all, I want the experience to be fun! My skills are fine tuned, so I am happy to say my clients can sit back and enjoy the ride.
