In my 26 years with the Howard County Public School System, I spent the majority of my time counseling and coaching. Following my early retirement, I spent the next 7 years rehabbing 100 year old homes and running a professional remodeling firm. In my career as a realtor, I call on all of that experience to serve my clients. I spend time listening to their needs, coming alongside as a trusted advisor to help them find and buy a home or preparing for, marketing and selling a home. This profession gives me incredible satisfaction knowing that a client has achieved their dream of home ownership or helping them successfully sell their home and move to the next destination with all the hopes and dreams therein! I love what I do and I love those that I work with!! Probably the coolest thing to happen to me is that a pair of young home buyers who we helped find and secure a house invited me and Kathy to their wedding!! I love that. It just doesn't get any better than that.

| Kathy and Gary Ahrens are an amazing, accommodating, and efficient team! They helped my husband and I find our dream home when I was 9 months pregnant. At first we weren't quite sure what we wanted so they asked all the right questions to help us figure it out. Then they were really great at listening to our wants and needs and finding homes to view that matched them. They were very patient with the closing as well, considering at that point our first child was only weeks old and we were a little slow with the paperwork! | Kathy handled our multiple needs to find a rental property prior to buying a home in a timely manner. After meeting with her and visiting several properties over a long weekend, Kathy was quick to pick up on our needs for both a rental property and a home. She found a house in a great school district being our eyes and ears in the Maryland market while we were still on the west coast. She made herself readily available after moving into the rental to find our home providing valuable information on neighborhoods, schools and shopping. She even went above and beyond talking to neighbors to find out answers to our questions. Kathy was a great realtor to work with always professional yet very friendly and easy to work with. | Kathy can assist clients with a variety of home types. She was our realtor when we decided to sell our townhouse and move into a condominium. Our condominium purchase was smooth and quick. Kathy came to our townhouse and suggested some easy improvements that would help the townhouse show better. She was right on target. Once the improvements were made and the townhouse was put on the market we had 20 showings in 15 days and received a full-price offer. When some technical issues arose, Kathy went to bat for us and worked out a solution that was acceptable to us and to the buyers. Everyone was happy. Kathy will serve you well as a realtor. |
