About Garden Valley

Garden Valley Idaho is located in Boise County, southwest Idaho, just 53 miles north of the capital city. Situated in the enviable location centered between Boise, McCall, and ski resorts Bogus Basin, Brundage Mountain and Tamarack Resort. The Middle Fork and South Fork of the Payette River dance through the valley, offering loads of summer fun. The South Fork offers some of the finest and most diverse white water rafting anywhere. Garden Valley is adjacent to the Boise National Forest, a virtual year round playground for camping hiking, fishing, hunting and hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails. The abundance of geothermal water provides residents and visitors with natural hot water pools.

Not your typical rural town, Garden Valley offers something for everyone.  Whether you fancy yourself an artist, an entrepreneurs, a craftsman, a teacher, or anything in between, you will find a comfortable place here. You'll find many services here that are hard to come by in most small towns. No sacrifices are required if you are looking for medical services, great mechanics, live theater, good wines, challenging golfing or knowledgeable Realtors. Our new K-12 school was dedicated on August 1st, 2009.  Plans are moving forward to break ground for a new library to be located in the city park.  The existing hiking path will run from the park, past the library and then on to the school.  In 2010 expect to see a new grocery store under construction.

Plan now to visit Garden Valley. There is a variety of lodging available. I will be happy to give you the grand tour.

Certifications

A fifth generation native of Scranton, Pennsylvania and graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie. I followed my great uncles west and became the first of my family to settle in the great state of Idaho. I found employment with the Hewlett-Packard Company in Boise, Idaho. There I worked in the laser printer business where I designed service solutions for international multi-use customers. A friend introduced me to Garden Valley and it was love at first site. I knew I had to make this wonderful place my home. I simply could not resist the majestic views, the outdoor life style and the friendly atmosphere. The proximity to the city made it possible for me to continue working at Hewlett-Packard. The more I fell in love with Garden Valley the more I realized I needed to participate actively in my new home town. I started a property management business, renting cabins to vacationers and maintaining vacant homes for the part time residents. With my broad knowledge and love of the area, experience in property management and services background it seemed obvious that real estate would be a good fit for me. Leaving my job in the city was a risk that has paid off in many ways. I have earned an Associate Broker license and a GRI designation. This year I plan to add additional education and designations to my list of credentials. Over the years I have been privileged to participate in the Garden Valley Hospital Board, the Chamber of Commerce, the Crouch Ambulance Auxiliary and the Ican mentoring Program. Most importantly I have enjoyed helping others make their dreams come true as I have done for myself. To learn more about Garden Valley, Idaho visit me at www.gardenvalleycurrents.com.
