I started my real estate career in 2003, not necesarily out of choice. Over time, it's been a pleasure to help folks solve their problems. Whether it's attracting buyers for a seller through innovative marketing, seeing the joy in a first-time homebuyer after the closing, see the stress removed form a pre-forclosure client's face after a successful short sale, or getting an investor a ready-to-move-in rental property, the career has been very rewarding.
Lately, due to market conditions, our team has been doing a lot of short sales. Oftern a pre-forclosure homeowner does not know that they have other options - starting with speaking to the lender directly as a first step.
The other side of this coin is selling short sales to those buyers and investors that can be patient and are not under any time constraints (e.g. definetely not a 1031 exchange). It's a long road to closing sometimes, but if they can hang in there, it's usually well worth it
