I am Shawn M. French and I am based in Baton Rouge, LA. The state of Louisiana has a unique culture and wonderful people!
I began my mortgage career in 2004 for a direct lender based in the San Francisco Bay area. I was with this company for 7 months when I decided the Broker side of the business was much more attractive to my personality and professional skill set. In February of 2005 I joined a phenomenal group of individuals at Peregrine Lending Company. PLC was a high energy and fun place to do my business for over 3 years. I worked with many great brokers over there and we all stressed the importance of INTEGRITY!
The key in this business is honesty and integrity. For several years it has been my main focus to always be honest in every facet of my life. It is very important to me that my family, friends and clients always have a positive experience with me as a professional and as a person.
Since 2003 I have closed a wide variety of loan transactions which include: purchases, cash-out refinances, rate-term refinances, etc. I pride myself on being educated on various loan products for the simple fact that every borrower has different needs. Being on the broker side of the business I have the resources to make sure that all my clients attain the loan product that best fits their financial needs, wants and desires.
Recent changes in the mortgage lending industry have forced me to sharpen my skills and get a deeper understanding of guidelines, pricing, and products. My team and I are now able to offer clients a much higher level of expertise and service. We work diligently to avoid surprises and to get the best possible pricing for our clients.
I feel fortunate enough to say that I enjoy all facets of this business. Every transaction has its own characteristics and its very own personality.
