I am a relative new comer to Real Estate, having been a Realtor a little over 10 years. I spent 38 years in the aviation field working both General Aviation and Military Aviation. As aviation goes, I've pretty much seen it all, as a technician, inspector, pilot, owner, manager etc. However in 2002 I retired from aviation thinking I would do some traveling. After a little over a year of retirement, I'd had enough and had to find something to occupy my time. Having bought several homes over the years and getting to know a few realtors, I decided to go to Real Estate School and test the waters. I have never regretted that decision. It's been an enjoyable ride and I love being able to help families in their quest for home ownership, plus the flexible hours allow me to spent some quality time with my family
As noted above, I can't claim decades of time and experience as a Realtor. Not that the lack of time is all bad. I didn't learn from the "old school" and consequently haven't had to adjust to the current ways of Real Estate. Being a new comer with only a few years in the field, I still take a lot of training courses at the local Association of Realtors office and on-line. I recently finished the e-Pro training and certification which I found to be very helpful while setting up my web site and on-line advertising. I am currently specializing in residential housing and military relocation. I have always enjoyed a good challenge and Real Estate is no exception. I have made many friends in the last few years, with bankers, mortgage brokers, title companies, inspectors and all the other real estate affiliated companies that help make a transaction go smoothly.
