Western Washington has been my home for most of my life. My experience with the military has brought me to appreciate what this state has to offer compared to other states for quality of life, and in raising a family. When I’m not pursuing my passion of helping others navigate the Real Estate market, you may see me out working in the yard, or volunteering in my community. I am married and have three wonderful children.
What keeps me in this business is the passion that I have for helping more people realize the benefits of home ownership. It’s a rewarding experience for me to be a trusted part in the success of one of the biggest financial and personal decisions people make. What’s next for you? I can help!

Ed, thank you so much for all your hard work, getting our house sold! We really appreciated your dedicated service and patience as you walked us through the process of getting our house ready for sale and then seeing it through to the end. Couldn't have done this without you. Thanks again! Matt and Kelsi

At age 27 and being a single mom, I decided to buy a house. I was approved for a loan of $135,000 and after spending a couple months of looking at houses with another realtor I became very discouraged and almost gave up on buying a house. The houses that I was shown were all run down and they were nothing I was looking for. I felt completely hopeless and was ready to find something to rent. It was during this time that I ended up having a conversation with a coworker who told me she had a friend she grew up with who was a realtor and she knew he'd take care of me. She provided me with Ed Kunkel's contact information and I called him right away, although I had lost complete hope, I figured it was worth a shot. So after speaking to him, it was within a couple days that he had already found a list of homes for me to look at. The first time we went out to look at houses, we spent the day looking at 6-8 houses in all different areas of Thurston county such as Lacey, Olympia, and Yelm. The houses that he showed me we're definitely way better then what I had been shown from the other realtor (they weren't shacks) and my confidence in finding a home to buy was boosted. Not only did he do all the research for me but at each house he helped me to weigh out all the options pointing out things that will likely need to be fixed, options of resale values for the future, etc. Being a first time home buyer, he really helped to open open my eyes and ensured that I took everything into consideration before making a decision on anything. It was approxiametly a week later that we went out looking at homes again. I had told my mom that I had finally found a realtor who seems to be treating me right and that we were going to look at more house so she asked to come. My mom was very impressed with his professionalism, as was I, and she liked that he went out of his way to ensure I was going to purchase something that I wanted. It actually turned out that the very first house we looked at that day ended up being the house I purchased. I knew that I wanted it as soon as I saw it but Ed insisted that we continue looking at the other houses we had on our list for the day, so we did but I was set on the home I now live in so as soon as we were done looking at the other houses, we went straight back to what is now my home and did up the paper work. Keep in mind that buying a house is something I've never done so honestly I was clueless on the process but he took his time in explaining everything to me. After putting in the offer, though, we learned the very next day that two other people made offers on the same day right after I did but fortunately I got it! :) Not only did Ed go out of his way to ensure I found the house that I wanted and went above in beyond to ensure I understood the whole process, he also went to the title company and sat with my mom and I to sign all the paperwork. If or when I decide to buy another home, Ed will be the first realtor I call. I know that if it wasn't for him being the straight forward person that he is & having the passion that he has for his work, I probably wouldn't be in this house today. Thank you Ed for everything you've done for me & my family!

Ed is a awesome guy, we met him on the phone when we were trying to sell our property. He came up from Olympia to Enumclaw several times to show us property we might be interested in. We had a hard time finding affordable horse property with livable quarters for us humans . Ed worked with us for a year and a half on a short sale that, I'm sure he made next to nothing on. He even came out and spent a whole Saturday of his own time helping replace siding just so it would pass the inspection. Our sale was almost stress free. If we were to sell and move again we would want Ed Kunkle to be our man. He really is a great agent, best part about him was he never once pushed us to make any decisions we didn't want to make Thank you Ed!!! Bill and Paula Bartolus-Young :):)
