I would like to introduce myself as a person who has been in the real estate market for over 25 years.I am a homeowner who has bought and lived in 4 homes and have sold these homes also. During this time I also got my real estate liscence not to use for selling purposes at the time just for my own knowledge. AM I familiar with the real estate market....absolutly. My last home was on the market for a year. We were definetly caught in the market when it was changing. Luckily we sold.. just in time.
We are now in our home in VT that we built and love. My story continues because in all my experiences in buying and selling I have met many good people in this industry.
In buying my home my husband and we took a 30 yr mortgage, I was 47 at the time. The years don't mean anything until you think about it. All you really are focused on is the payment. Well 16 months ago my broker called me and asked me if I would like to pay off my home in half the time or less without changing anything to my income or to my budget,.Well of course I said HOW? and he said let me do an annalysis for you and see if you would qualify. As I write this my mortgage will be paid off in 8 years. I have not changed anything in my budget or income. My husband and I are so very happy that retirement is not a scary thought anymore.
My purpose of writing my experience is to ask the question ,If you had a client that you were showing a home and knowing that they were going to go into a 15, 20 or 30 yr mortgage ,if you could show them that they could pay off their home in 5 or 10 years wouldn't that be an amazing selling tool and thousands of dollars saved to your client. Talk about a successful deal, and making a difference to somebody's life. I would love the opportunity to show you how this program could be such a wonderful tool in this stressful housing market. Just remember you can still make buying a home a fun and positive experience to the average homeowner .
