Get to know Darin Henderson
Although I started in real estate at mid career age (39), I have always had an interest in architecture, how different neighborhoods developed and how planning effects them. How the zoning and subdivision rules affect the day to day life of people.
My first career involved almost 20 years of technical service for a major media corp. It was there that I refined my study and diagnostic skills as well as customer service traits. Towards my 18th year there I got licensed in Missouri and started showing and listing properties. I was busy and enjoyed the new venture but it was difficult doing both well, so within a couple years I began real estate full time. I love researching, marketing properties for my clients and also understanding my clients’ goals, by listening to them, so we can work as a team to achieve them.
Once in a while when I discover a home in the country - with the right setting; the house, fencing, driveway, porch and buildings were meant to be there together in that spot… well it nearly takes my breath way. I grew up on a large farm with my parents, an older brother and a younger sister. Perhaps time has softened the memory of the sore muscles and long hours of work I put in there, it was a good life. There is something special about a place in the country, it feels like home.
I’ve received a Five Star Professional award 7 consecutive years. Something I am particularly pleased about among the various plaques and awards because the selection process revolves around the views and opinion of my past clients. Each year home sellers and buyers are polled regarding how their real estate agent, mortgage loan officer, and/or insurance agent preformed their service.
