Craftsmen’s owners have over forty years of experience in land acquisition, land development, and homebuilding in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
A regular component of Craftsmen’s business is to share its experiences with other builders, equity providers and lenders. W. Dennis Gilligan – President
After graduating from the University of Maryland with a dual major in economics and urban studies, Mr. Gilligan worked in a management capacity for Washington Homes and Pulte Homes. In 1983 Dennis founded Gilligan Development Incorporated, then a local developer and home builder. Over a period of twenty years his company grew to a regional developer and home builder with communities throughout Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. In late 2004 Gilligan Development, a fifty million dollar company was purchased by Technical Olympic USA, a publicly traded home building company based in Hollywood, Florida. Dennis fulfilled his contractual obligations as Technical Olympic’s Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President, Land in May of 2007. During that time multiple parcels of land were purchased and developed in the tri-state area. In May of 2007 in concert with Conor Gilligan and Bob Schultz, Dennis founded Craftsmen Developers, LLC.
Bob Schultz - Vice President
Finance and Operations Bob has over seven years experience as a corporate accountant. The majority of that time was devoted to the home building and development industries. As the chief financial officer of Gilligan Development Bob directed and oversaw the companies accounting and financial requirements. In September 2004 Bob facilitated the multimillion dollar sale of Gilligan Development to Technical Olympic USA. Following the closing Bob held the positions of Vice President of Finance and Operations for Technical Olympic USA, Baltimore Division. Bob graduated with from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in accounting. He is an active member of ICSC, HBAM and is an active volunteer at Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity.
Conor O. Gilligan – Vice President
Land Development and Acquisition Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Conor started a full service landscape company at the age of eighteen in Pasadena, Maryland. In 2001, Conor chose to sell his company and join the family business Gilligan Development Inc. During his tenure with Gilligan Development as its Land Development coordinator, Conor managed and directed land development and entitlement processes. Following the sale of Gilligan Development to Technical Olympic USA, Conor was promoted to Director of Land Development for their Baltimore division. Here Mr. Gilligan’s authority spanned three states and well over fifteen new development communities. Conor is an active member of ICSC, HBAM, USGBC and ULI, he also enjoys helping with charitable events for CRAB and the Providence Center.
