Get to Know Jackie Lewis

I am Jackie Lewis, Realtor with ReMax 1st Realty & Auction.  Born and raised in Nashville and living there for a few years (50+), we discovered the beauty and tranquility of Manchester (Coffee County) Tennessee.  Each Friday afternoon we would escape the city to hide out in our weekend getaway - but that soon turned into a real love affair with this most beautiful county in the Southeast!  We uprooted and made Manchester, TN our home and have never regretted once the huge change in our lives!  Mountains outline the area with the most awesome lakes to be found!  Tims Ford Lake has been an enticement to fishermen, water sports enthusiasts and all nature lovers for years!  Whether you are looking for mountain views or lake views - you can find it all here!  To see properties available - visit www.JackieLewisRealtor.com

Just to quote one of the most influencial speakers I have had the opportunity to hear - Michael Burt - "This Ain't No Practice Life" - I know we have only one opportunity to make a difference in our own lives and lives of others!  Moving to this beautiful community and sharing my love of Real Estate with others is just the beginning of making this life REAL!  Visit Michael's website for a healthy dose of enthusiasm and guidance - www.MichealBurt.com

I always wanted to live in a small community, complete with a townsquare - one that invites you to stroll around the courthouse or enjoy a walk in the public park that meanders right next to the Little Duck River!  There are days that you will need to slow down to allow the deer to pass you during your walk!

As we sit in our backyard at night, we are still amazed at the brilliance of the stars and the noticeable peace and quiet!  These are just a few of the hidden gems we have found living in a rural but very convenient community!  I will be happy to share more of these wonderful qualities that we have discovered!  Just give me a call.

I am married to my best friend and together we have 3 children - but let me tell you about my grandchildren!  We have 2 girls and 2 boys with never a dull moment!  The girls live with us and the boys visit often.  We have 3 minature pet goats along with 2 outside dogs and one absolutely spoiled rotten Shih Tzu/Poodle (he still thinks he is our youngest child!).   We love RVing and are members of a local RV club that travels one weekend each month to one of the many parks that are just a short drive from home.

Enterprising and energetic has been keywords of my life!   In the early 70's I worked for the State of Tennessee and after the birth of my children it was my desire to be a stay at home mom.  I did a lot of soul searching and decided I could be an asset to other families of working moms by opening a State licensed family daycare.  "Ms Jackie's Daycare" was up and running!  I operated this daycare for 12 years and have maintained a great relationship with several of the families over the years.  It's like I have lots of grandchildren now.  How wonderful it is to hear someone say - "I remember you - you are Ms. Jackie - I was part of your daycare!"  Those little folks now have kids of their own.

My love for sewing and crafts have always been another passion of mine.  Years ago several of my friends and I would get together and make items for sale to earn money for Christmas.  This turned into monthly flea markets, craftshows, etc.  Also during that time country curtains were all the rage - yards and yards of ruffles!  Those were not cheap but I still wanted to decorate my nest with that look.  Not afraid to try my hand at something new - I ventured out and made my first pair of ruffled curtains - set up at a show and displayed my handicraft and was then on the road to another business!  I opened "Ruffles and Lace by Jackie".  It grew to such a great business - I hired my stay at home mom friends and we all worked during school hours (in the basement/sewing room) of my home.  We absolutely stayed booked with curtain orders and all of the "necessities" that go along with them!  Comforters, dust ruffles, lampshades - you name it we made it with a ruffle on it!

After my children were all grown, my attention turned to Real Estate.  I completed a 3 hr college course on Real Estate and had to put my new interest on hold for a while due to family reasons.  Eventually I graduated from TREES and on to MTAR to achieve my Realtor status.  And the rest is history!  Give me a challenge and I will give it my all!

I am passionate about the real estate business and I love this area and want to share my excitement with you!  Whether you are a buyer, seller or investor - YOU are my most important customer!  I am licensed for the whole state of Tennessee but spend most of my time in the Coffee, Bedford, Marion, Grundy, Franklin County area.

Now as if you are just hankering to know one more thing about me! My carrot cake won 2nd place at the Coffee County Fair!!!  Call me and I'll share my recipe - 931-841-5553.   MOVE OVER PAULA!

Listing or buying a property from me will get the same undivided attention - whether it is a small unrestricted parcel of land or a huge commercial listing!  I pride myself in being a realtor that other realtor's enjoy working with and that means a lot.   I want to make the buying and selling process as enjoyable as possible for all involved.  Life is stressful enough - let's work together to smooth out the wrinkles.  Just in case I don't have an answer - I am privy to over 100,000 other ReMax agents that I can pool for information.  Now that's a support system.  Our office is filled with awesome agents - and hey we all get along and help each other.  How cool is that?
