I graduated with my Residential Home Inspectors Certification through the American Home Inspector's Training in Vancouver, British Columbia in March of 2009. I am a member of Inter NACHI and graduated with my Commercial Inspector's Certification in January of 2010. I have a keen attention to detail and all my basic inspections come with a 31 page Inspection Report, Home Maintenance Manual, a disk with all the pictures I've taken of the home (usually between 100 and 150) and a coupon for 10% off paint from a well known Paint Supply Store . I love to have the home buyer (and Realtor and even the home owner) along during the inspection so that I can answer questions about the various components of the home during the inspection. My 9 years of carpentry, and cabinetry experience together with some basic electrical, plumbing and concrete experience set me apart as a qualified home inspector. I am continually upgrading my training to keep up with building trends. Ask me which courses I have taken lately!! Also, each of my inspections sends a child in India to summer camp.
I have inspected homes as old as 106 years and as new as 1 year and everything in between. The specific components of the home generally reveal their age such as the type of wiring used, the plumbing methods and even the overhang style. I have found that often not even the home owner really knows the exact age but specific clues will reveal many secrets surrounding the important aspects of the home.
